Academics

Penn State Brandywine is a small campus with a big degree -- a Penn State degree. Students can complete 10 baccalaureate and 3 associate degrees in their entirety on our campus or begin the first two years of course work for over 160 degrees which can be completed at other Penn State campuses.

The degrees and programs offered at the Brandywine campus have been carefully chosen to accent our faculty excellence, to partake of the historical and urban strengths of the region, and to provide our students with the marketable skills needed in the 21st century.

Baccalaureate Degrees


Associate Degrees

Associate Degree in Business Administration

A two-year college-level degree that enhances a student's understanding of business concepts. Students may choose to pursue this degree on a full-time or part-time basis. Credits earned in this degree may be applied to the baccalaureate degree in business offered at this campus.


Associate Degree in Human Development and Family Studies


Students receive a two year college-level degree that integrates practical and academic experiences to provide students with entry-level competence in the field. Credits earned should be transferable to the baccalaureate HDFS degree program.

Associate Degree in Letters, Arts, and Sciences

Students receive a two year college-level degree with some specialization according to a student's interest and career plans. Most credits earned should be transferable to many of the baccalaureate degree programs offered by Penn State.


Minors
Students enrolled in select majors may choose to take courses which will result in the awarding of a minor certificate upon completion of a baccalaureate degree in the following areas:

 

 

 


 

Pre-Medical and Allied Health Programs

Students wishing to pursue a career in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, optometry, podiatry or physical therapy may take the prerequisite courses at Penn State Brandywine.

Thomas Jefferson College of Health Professions

Penn State Brandywine and Thomas Jefferson’s College of Health Professions work cooperatively to provide opportunities for students interested in allied health careers.  Students take two years of prescribed courses at Penn State Brandywine and then apply for transfer to Thomas Jefferson to complete their degree in one of the following areas:  Radiologic Sciences, Bioscience Technologies, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Pharmacy. 

Physical Therapy and Couples/Family Therapy are graduate degrees that require prerequisites that may be taken at Penn State Brandywine.
